Truck Running Like Water In Fuel

Hey, My truck is acting like a gas burner that has a little water in the gas. It comes and goes. I changed the fuel filter 1500 miles ago. Any Ideas?

You may have had a bad tank of fuel. i.e. contaminated with quite a bit of water.

Try draining the fuel/water separator for the next several tanks, or even better, once per day. To see if you really have water in fuel, drain the separator into a container to see if there is water present.

If you think you have water in your fuel then add 16-24oz of Power Service in the white bottel to your fuel ASAP. Also are you useing Fleetguard or Mopar fuel filters as some other brands will not work well with the water seperators in your truck and allow water to get through and in to your injectors? FYI water can and will screw up and injectors!

I don't really think it has water in it, but I dont' know, the water in fuel light has never come on and I get my fuel from the same place 90% of the time. I have some seafoam injector cleaner I may run in it also I'll try draining the water seperator.I'm using wix filters and have never had any problem with them on any of my tractors or combine.

Have you fixed the open elbows on top of your fuel tank that can let water and crud right into your tank???? There was a recall for the o6s but this has been a problem for several years. Dirty fuel is what takes out these lift pumps.
