My buddy wants to sled pull with his truck he has an 06 2500 smarty tnt,fass, k&n cold air intake, 35" tires, 355 gear. What setting should he run his smarty on?

 

He shouldn't pull it at all with the stock tranny. also a 3.55 on a 35" tire is a very high final ratio. I would be willing to place money on some burnt clutches if not a destroyed transmission in as little as one good pull. I would tell him to have the money ready for a tranny if he does decide to pull with it!

Then go for broke if the tranny is built! Crank that sucker up! (There will always be a chance of some type of failure but anyone hooking to a sled should know that unless they are a moron.) Have Fun!

 

I take it that he did a gear swap to get the 3:55 gears? I say go loaded for bear, level 9 since he has a built trans. I would be woried about axle wrap if he does not have traction/ladder bars.
