Truck dies after pull
Truck dies after pull
Hey guys, need some help with a 2004 Dodge Cummins, When its warm outside and I am pulling a trailer and need to pull over and stop for whatever reason, it dies and I end up having to sit there for about an hour before it will start again, it turns over fine when I am trying to start it but it just wont start. I have changed the fuel filter twice and nothing seems to help. Checking to see if anyone has had this problem also. I appreciate any help from you guys.
Thanks Cliff

what lift pump do u have, on the filter housing or in tank, place a piece of hose over the filter drain tube place in a bucket, open drain valve see if lift pump is putting out, bump starter switch "do not start " see if pump is putting out
It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

What pressure do you have and where are you measuring it.
Taking a shot in the dark here, but maybe remove the pipe from the pressure relief valve on the fuel rail and see if any fuel comes out when it is cranking. Or temporarily cap it off and try to start it. Don't run it with the cap on.
