trouble codes ??'s

Guys a friend of mine has an 04 305 motor with NV5600 and has a couple of codes we need some help with.
The codes are: P0236 (I think is TC Boost System) If that is it, what causes it and how do you fix??
Second one is: P0251 ( I think is Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control "A" Malfunction) If this is it, what causes this and how do you fix??
He has a Quad Race Box and AFE stage 2....Other than that he is stock.
Been running the Quad and Stage 2 for the last 20k...First codes he's had, anybody got any suggestions?????
Thanks..

SYMPTOM
P0251-CP3 PUMP REGULATOR CONTROL

WHEN MONITORED
When the ignition is on.

SET CONDITION
The ECM detects a discrepancy between the PWM supplied to the Electronic Fuel Control Actuator and the PWM returned from the Electronic Fuel Control Actuator.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
  • Intermittent condition
  • Fuel control actuator (FCA)
  • (K31) return circuit open from FCA to ECM
  • (K65) 5-volt supply circuit open from FCA to ECM
  • (K65) 5-volt supply circuit shorted to voltage
  • ECM
SYMPTOM
P0236-MAP SENSOR TOO HIGH TOO LONG

WHEN MONITORED
Ignition on.

SET CONDITION
The intake air pressure is above a calibrated value past a calibrated amount of time.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
  • Other codes
  • Intermittent condition
  • MAP sensor
  • Intermittent condition
My guess is a bad FCA and the bad FCA is causing the P0236 code......

Thanks ******....
Where did you find this info? I thought I found the right thing, but mine sure doesn't match yours?
Is a Fuel Control Acuator(FCA) expensive or easy to replace??? Not sure what this is or what it does in caveman terms
Thanks again for your help...Greg

The FCA controls how much fuel enters the high pressure pumping chambers. It is easy to change, not too much money.

it's the small black actuator on the back of the CP3....tell him to buy a factory service manual...it will tell him most of the stuff he wants to know
