Transmission temp

What's the regular operating tempature for the transmission ? Is it about the same as engine coolant tempature . I ask because it's been +30 for a while and I have been running temps about 205 . Is that to High?

not pulling I run about 185, if you have some miles on your truck you might clean your cooler, could be full of dirt and bugs

Operating temp is 140-240 degrrees. The observed temp will depend on what is being used to read it, where the probe is located, ambient temp, and the current usage of the truck.

On a hot day in stop and go traffic that temp is perfectly normal. On a hot day driving at road speed and reading the temp thru the data port, normal.

On a cool day driving empty at road speed, not normal. If it used to run 190 under the same conditions, not normal.

Need mor einfo on how, what, when, where of that temp reading and your truck info.

If the probe is not in the pan or the hot line then the readings are not accurate.
