I have a weird squeaking sound that seems to be linked to my 6 speed transmission. It is especially bad in reverse, but seems to do it in all gears below 4th.

Any time I touch the clutch it squeaks. And when I downshift it squeaks a lot.

It's loud enough to hear plain as day with the windows down driving around town.

Any ideas?

 

Mine sqeeked at lower speeds / heavy loads when one of the joints went out ... at 20k miles.

I've only got 17,000 miles, myself. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. If the joints can only last 17,000 miles something is definitely wrong.
