Transmission Drain PLug Location

I am about to start my tranny service, and I bought a B&M knockoff from an auto parts store. I have been searching for a thread on where I should place it as to not interfere with any of the internals, but cant find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I got the pan off without too much mess, now hopefully someone can tell me where to place the plug, but if not, I will just wait until next time. I kinda decided to do this last minute, so its really my fault. P.S, pics would be especially helpful if anyone has any.. Thanks guys.

I did mine on my stock pan right in the middle of the passenger side of the pan as close to the bottom as possible. You could really place it anywhere around the pan. I drilled a small hole in mine while it still had fluid so I could drain it before I took the pan off. You'll be glad you put a plug in it after you take a shower in tranny fluid.

As I recall, toward the rear of the pan. Just mark a spot on the pan that corresponds with an area clear of the VB. Drill the pan, git-r-done.
