Transmission Condition

What is the best way for me to evaluate the condition of the automatic transmission in my truck?

Send a fluid sample to Blackstone Labs. You get an amazing amount of information that way. No the whole answer, but some pretty big puzzle pieces.

Take it out, take it apart. No other way to know for sure.
