Anyone have a transfer case fail in less than 65k miles? I have been hunting for a bad growl and vibration in my drive line. I found 1 bad front wheel bearing, changed both, replaced all the u-joints only 1 was bad. Also had the 2 piece drive shaft balance, shop said it was perfectly balanced and true. Pulled the front shaft out to verify that, it was ok. Had the truck up on jack stands today and had one of the guys at work hold the speed at 41 mph then at 65mph right where I get the vibrations bad. the vibration duplicated while jacked up, everything on the driveline was running straight and true so I grabbed my stethoscope and listened to the rear end pinion and axle bearings. They were super quiet, I was amazed at how quiet they actually were. I focused on the tranny and transfer case and found that the transfer case was making a lot of noise, I think a bearing is definitely getting ready to grenade. No plow on the truck, never had a 4wd launch, fluid changed at least 4 times.

So what say you, anyone else have a transfer case go out?
