Trans wont downshift from overdrive

Morning.
Took my truck out Saturday for its first pull with my trailer. Noticed on the first grade it was not downshifting automatically. I took it out of overdrive got over the hill put it back in overdrive and on the next hill I took the cruise off and footed for that hill and it again would not pull down. Can anyone help me with this..... I'm thinking throttle position sensor. The tranny shifts great but towing or not towing it will not downshift.
Thank you all in advance.
Jim

These truck have power; unless it is a large grade it will pull it in overdrive; give it another try on a steeper hill, u will be amazed, let the truck work, hope it helps.

There is a flash update maybe try that first if there are no trans codes. That's if ECM was never updated.

Thanks guys. I let it pull down from 2100 to 1500 just to see if it would downshift. It did not. It pulled down from 65 to 50 before I knocked out of OD. I have 4:10s in this truck, it should and will pull my house. This is my first Dodge. So far I love it. Im going to call the dealer and have them look at it. Ill post what they find. Thank you very much

I call BS on this but this is my first Dodge

So..... I call BS on this, but here goes..
The Ford Dealer that I bought my truck from tells me the following...
Your truck is fine sir the Downshift from Overdrive will not occur until your truck slows down to around 35mph for as you say your cruising speed of 65. Your truck does down shift as it is suppose to in a non-towing condition...... WHAT
So I must load up the motor with a 700RPM drag and drop 35mph before it downshifts out of overdrive...... REALLY...
That makes no sense to me what so ever... I do understand the rise in rpm as it shifts down but that much of a load.... Can anyone verify or acknowledge the BS card on this please.
Thank You in advance
Jim

I recall mine dropping out of OD around 40mph if I just let off the pedal and coast. If you're complaint is that it won't kick down (Passing gear) when giving it pedal then something is wrong. I hate how easily mine kicks down on minor grades even unloaded.
