Trans Flush Faq????

Trans Flush Faq????

Did a search and couldnt find what i was looking for. Didnt somebody post directions with pics on how to do a flush on a 48re? Im a picture kind of guy when i comes to which hoses to discionnect. Any help would be appreciated.

You could disconnect one , see witch way the fluid is coming from , my choice is fluid coming from trans cooler , so it gets flushed also .
This is because I do not remember which on is the return on the trans .

Rear line is the lube oil return. Disconnect it and route into a container while filling.

So, I have this mental picture of trying to pour fluid into the filler tube i quart at a time while it is shooting out of the discharge line multi quarts at a time. Could you explain the procedure? Do you fill the pan and then run that out?Or overfill the pan and run that thru? Or discharge the fluid about a quart and shut off engine while re-filling?

I'm not trying to be smart here I really would like the procedure explained as I am wanting to do this service soon.
