thanks in advance for all help! I was getting on the freeway trucks bucked a little and made some funny noises. I didnt think much about it until i got off hwy. Came to a stop, did i mention i'm having to stand on the brakes to keep it from moving. The eng. is idling ruff rpm down to about 450 i shift tranny into neutral eng races to over 1000rpm than settles down to a smooth idle of 750. put it back in gear same thing eng lugs down to me it acts like tc is locked up all the time i dont know much about trannys except dealer wants 4100 dollars to fix any any body have an idea on what could be wrong with tranny all help is much apprecated.

 

Sounds like you got all the pleasure out of TC that it can stand. If it had been in VB it would release when went to neutral and back. For that kind of money, you could step up to a heavy duty aftermarket unit.

I have had a similar thing happening. The dealer said it wasn't throwing any codes, and couldn't get it to do the same thing while they had it. This has happened to me four times now, and they can't figure out whats wrong.
