TPS Problem?
TPS Problem?
I flew down to TX this past weekend and picked up my new to me truck. It's an '03, 6-spd, 3500 drw. The truck is great and I'm very pleased with it. The problem is as I was coming through KY it started to surge on a hill with the cruise set on 70mph. I slowed down to 65, but the truck would just not take any more throttle because it would just go flat. Seemed like a lack of fuel. I stopped for about 45 minutes and then preceded on and it didn't have a problem until coming into PA. This problem happens at first from heavy throttle like the cruise control trying to stay at speed on the highway, but with time gets worse and worse. Shut it off for awhile, the problem is gone. To me, it acts like a TPS, but I'm sure someone here would know better. It's not setting any check engine lights, but is it possibly throwing a code that a scanner would pickup? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, it's not the fuel filter, that got ruled out today. I need to check the fuel pressure now and see what it's at. It's looking like a TPS or lift pump at this point. Thank you both for your input.
