Tow/Haul mode switch on when WOT testing or racing??

So I'm trying to test my X2 out for boost fooling and was wondering in general when doing a WOT test or racing for that matter is it better to have the Auto Trans in normal driving mode or put it in Tow/Haul mode. I wasn't sure which is better or any concerns with either on the Torque converter. I only have the X2 XZT so we are talking the 65hp setting only.

The reason I thought about this is the truck sits at ~3K rpm solid at WOT as the truck gains speed and then eventually the TC will lock. So obviously lots of slippage. Is having the T/H mode switch on better because the TC will lock sooner?

Teach a newbie.
