i am impatiently waiting for a dunrite converter and valve body to arrive. dunrite and gorend (sic) have great reps on this board as well as the others. ats suncoast hawk banks etc. i decided dunrite or gorend strictly because they are small enough that i was speaking with the owners not an order taker. then it was a toss a coin decision.

Guys be careful running a triple disc TC,in a tc/VB combination. Ive seen several trucks now that have broken either the input shaft, and or flexplate. The trans programming on the trucks built since 2000,and all 3G trucks all locked shifting, which is real hard on the input shaft.Even single disc TC's will break the input shaft sometimes, but rarely the flex plate unless its a big power truck runnin hard.So if your going to bomb the trans-go all the way and do an input shaft,or take a big chance.Triple disc users should do both the billet input shaft and flexplate,if not now, you'll be doing it later after they break.

So the input shaft must be pretty week. I do just normal driving and pull a trailer every once in a while, didnt figure that would hurt the shafts in the thang.

If what you say is "really" true, you probably won't need one.

Trailer weight varies, 5,000 to 12,000. I have done 2500 mile hauls, so will the stock tranny hold up?

Oh by the way, I will soon be adding one of quads products. Like a little more power pulling hills.

For a great bang for your buck i got the TCI Maximizer TC for jegs and a BD valve body. Still holding and going strong. I figured that TCI has been building race trans for ever so they must know what they are doing. The TC has the billet front and for about $5oo a bargain.

DTT single disc gets it done for me too.

They are nice people to deal with too, small company, good support and they had the best price when I was shopping, under $1000 [/shameless plug]

I've met Tony from Dunrite. Very nice guy, and knows how to build a converter.

I have the transgo kit in my truck. I have it set up a little bit differently than the instructions said to, but it is holding strong.
