EGTs dont go up with a tighter torque connverter, they go down. The stock loose conn. makes more heat because of whipping the oil more. Once any conn. gets locked up they will make less heat because they arnt whipping the oil when in lockup.

How much do these convertors go for? And flexplate seeing how some owners are able to destroy them towing mild weight. I tow 16Klbs for 300 miles round trip twice a year and dont want to be stranded when I need to get the job done.

So which company do you guys recommend and that isnt too overly priced. Im thinking a set of tranny/egt/boost guages should go along with this aswell just to make sure.

Hey JC did you go with the complete valve body from Dunrite, or the self-install shift kit? Have you had any problems? I had the shift kit installed and the tranny now has a weird 2-3 shift under normal throttle. It seems to rev 1-150 rpm's at the moment of shift. It never does it under moderate or hevier throttle. It is not noticable at light throttle, and even though Tony said it is impossible, I swear the thing is locking in 2nd gear. I know this, cause when I shift manually there is a 100rpm change, and my lock-up indicator on the Juice monitor comes on.
