Torque Converter

I think my torque converter is going out. Its kinda weird. It will slip when i go around turns and i was just going to live with it until today when i punched it to get around someone the RPM's went up but it did not accelerate the way it normally does.
What torque converter do you all think i should go with and about how much is it going to cost me? And about how much do they cost to install?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
My thoughts are more in the range of major tranny repairs. Have you checked the fluid lately??? Going around corner and rev up is not TC slipage.
More likely clutches. If concern is 2nd gear a band adjustment may be in store.
