Torque?

I have to be real careful when driving my empty CTD on wet pavement. If I get on the accelerator just a little too much, the rear end wants to spin out. Is this because the Cummins has so much torque or is it the driver?

The stock Michelin tires are bad, but the BFGs get even worse ratings. You'd think that a highway tire would be good in the rain but I still had to sipe my Michelins as they wandered in the ruts in the roads around here. They are worthless on ice and even frost, and are ok in the snow. Looking at the Michelin site the LTX/AS seem to have been designed to primarily be quiet, which seems like a really stupid citeria for a tire on a 4x4 truck. I HOPE DODGE IS HEARING THIS !

Breaking the rear end loose sounds like a limited slip, which makes for interesting times in the rain and especially on ice. Get your practice in before winter.
