I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I have a rattle in #1 that sounds like an injector failure. But all injectors have been replace with tubes and 1-3 have been replaced again because we thought we got a bad (new) injector with tubes. Have retimed cp3,replaced 1 fuel line,fluxed head and installed seats and rockers,replaced check valve in head,replaced pressure relief valve in rail, disassembled rail and cleaned, check rods and mains, no scored cylinders. #1 fuel line pulsates really bad but 2-6 feel fine. If anybody has any info on what this might be it would be much appreciated, I'm running out of hair. Thanks.

 

Have you done a compression check?

#1 fuel line pulsating is normal, there is no support on #1.

 

Dealer is doing the work,thought they would have. Still on warranty but I don't have a lot of faith in the dealer. Rattle comes and goes, it's not consistent like a wrist pin or bad bearing. I've taken it to a couple diesel shops and a cummins dealer and they say I have a problem.Thanks for the info. I'll check with the dealer to see if they did. Any other ideas?
