tool size database

I think it would be helpful for anyone wanting to work on their truck to know what size tools to have on hand, in case you don't have metric impact sockets or big metric sockets for ball joints, etc. I've seen videos of guys using SAE wrenches doing front end work, using a 12pt socket on the transfer case bolts, do it right. it's a pain searching and sometimes finding the right info and sometimes not. I ended up taking a caliper to bolts and nuts that I didn't have a socket for. everyone post here and then maybe we can combine it into a sticky.

2006 track bar bolt 18MM socket
2006 shock bolt 19MM socket
2006 rear driveshaft bolt 15MM socket
2006 ball joint nut 30MM socket
2006 transfer case/shifter bolt E14 external torx socket, Snap-On, Gearwrench and Craftsman make one

Cool idea. A lot of times I will put that info in my Haynes manual I use. So when I need to work on that part again it's already there for quick ref.

I try to include the tools required, as do most, when I do a tech write up. Usually the list is short but cumulatively it can go a bit.
