Hi, new to me 2005 2500 4x4, 5.9, auto, 172k miles, 6500 hours, edge juice with attitude, runs good, however makes more smoke than other trucks I have had. With power on 1, just pressing accelerator normally I am making smoke. Dont get me wrong, I do like smoke but not when I am after mileage too. Hand figured mileage is in the 15.5 range and always had better mileage too. Just looking for reasons I can check into for extra smoke. Any advice is appreciated.

 

Check air filter and for any obstruction in the inlet piping also check for any air leaks
