Question too much pressure on pressure relief valve?

I'm running the stock lift pump and was wondering if going to the FASS pump in conjunction with the EDGE Box would be too much for the pressure relief valve too handle??

I would say yes because mine is getting replaced as we type at the dealership. I only run the xzt on mine and it is making the valve go bad.

Well I guess I'm in left field with this. I understood the FASS is just supplying the correct GPM and pressure to the high pressure pump (injection pump) and that as long as you don't go over around 25 PSI supplied pressure, it would be just fine. Now, the pressure boxes on the market like the EZ fool the ECU into thinking the injectors need more fuel through pressure and so the high pressure pump increases pressure which is, or can be, not good for the pump and system down stream from it which is what the relief valve is for. If this is correct, then there is no way the FASS could do anything to the fuel pressure on the other side of the high pressure pump in my mind.

If this is incorrect please fill me in.

No lift pump and certainly not the FASS pump has the ability to damage the CP3 or the fuel rail over pressure relief valve, short of starving the CP3 for fuel.

Thank you, that's what I thought.

So the answer to the original question in this thread is no.

Ok Ok If you are specifically asking about the fass system then no, BUT he asks "In conjunction with the edge" Which will have an adverse effect on the relief valve and also possibly injector crackage!! It depends on how you are looking at the question. I looked as a whole not just one particular part! Sorry if I gave the wrong information!

You are right, I do believe that pressure boxes can have adverse affects on the stock fuel system. Only because they are increasing pressure from the CP3 to the injectors. Any pressure increase to the supply before the CP3 can have no effect on the injectors. I was just making sure that the question was disected properly. The FASS is before the CP3 and pressure boxes are after the CP3.

Thanks.
