Tired of the 48RE transmission not just dodge have ATS trans!!
I had the transmission installed at a preferred ATS transmission dealer. He's a really knowledgeable guy and installs probably about one a week. I don't know to much about transmissions. You guys are talking about the TV cable. Not sure what that is, can some describe in detail what that is? As far as my gears i still have 3.73 don't have the money right now to upgrade. I would like to go to 4.56. Well tomorrow morning i will be calling ATS i will keep everyone updated.
i am assuming you are taking about the first transmission i blew. I did take it back to the dodge dealership, they told me that i would have to pay $4300 to replace the tranny with the same one that just blew. This was because all the Mods i had down to my truck, Dodge said it is no longer under warranty. So i figured i might as well spend a few extra dollars and get a built transmission rather than put the same stocker back in and blow that one out again. And with ATS i got a 3 yr. 300,000 mile warranty. Dodge would not warranty the new 48RE that would have been putting in for $4,300.
Just driving around town and if I step on it, it kinda falls flat on it's face, then shifts and is like a rocket from there. Very weird. I put the GM style of actuator to replace the mopar ones and it helped. Seems like a electronic issue. I don't know trannies so it's kinda hard to fully explain it too...
I just got off the phone with ATS they think it is my throttle body. They are sending me a new one, should be here on Friday. ATS was really nice and fully under warranty! we will see if that does that trick.
