Tire pressure for 295 Nitto's
For what it's worth I have Nitto Terra Grapplers in the 285/70R/17 size, load range E. I'm running 60 in the front and 50 in the rear. I originally had 50 all the way around, but the front seemed a little soft.
I run 65psi in the front and about 59 in the back. I rotate about every 7k, and expect to get about 35k out of them. Haven't run them in the snow yet, but wet weather traction is very nice. They ride smoother than the stocker 265's, lower highway RPMs by about 200, and are very quiet.

I run 64 all 4 corners, I bump it up to 70 with a heavy trailer. I allready have 30k on mine and there is way more than 1/2 tread left on the worst 2 that were on the rear with 10k miles of towing trailers from IN to Baton Rouge LA. I think they are the best tire out there, thay were super quiet till I rotated them, but thats probably due to my ball joint play.

Since I've been digging out of snow for almost three weeks now, I can comment on snow traction with certainty. The Nittos are impressive in the cold stuff. I switched from BFG's to Nitto's last August and was a little nervous about traction. Dry, wet, snow, all seem to me to better on the Nitto's than with the BFG's. However, they don't look like they're going to last as long as the BFG's. Probably a softer compound. I'll still probably get 35-40K out of them though.
If you rotate them around 7k miles, then the noise isn't there. I didn't do the first rotation till about 11k and they were really loud. About 2/3 of the way to Florida (900mi one way) the noise went away.
When I first put them on, the softer ride was immediately noticable. Still very nice. Wet weather braking/handling is excellent still after almost 30k miles.

My 295 MT's are load range E's.... I watched the nubbies disapear on them when they were new and addjusted them so they wore off evenly. I ended up with 44psi in the fronts and 40 in the rears. I started with 60psi (didn't even try the 80psi max rating) and they were not even using 1 1/2 inches of the tires edge on each side.....
The Stock mich's I ran at 65 front and 50 rear all the time and went up from there when towing. I have not towed yet with the MT's so I can't give imput on PSI when towing at this point.....

When unloaded (rarely) I run the rears about 40, as this gets even tread wear and soft ride, and the fronts around 60. When loaded heavily I run the rears at 65-70 depending on weight. Since probably 80% of the miles on my truck are tow miles, mine have worn out pretty fast. I have about 28K on mine and will be lucky to nurse enough to get to 35K before they have to go. Not sure if I want to go this route again or try something else. I want the look of a mud tire without the noise or poor wear! (Good luck, right)
