Timing rattle

Well i just got my truck back after 2 weeks of being at the dealer. I had them replace all 6 injectors, injector harness, fca, fuel filter, ecm, winn module,2 new keys, fuel pressure sensor. So after all this i pick the truck up and noticed it was considerably louder than before, it sounds like when you add to much timing it gets that hard rattle, sounds just like when i run my quad adrenaline on 8 or 9. Is this normal with new injectors? Is there a way the tech could have added more timing when he reflashed the ecm. Any ideas would be great before i take this thing back. Also it is getting a hell of alot better fuel mileage.

yeah mine does it too, it's kind of a concern for me, especially knowing that the 06's have a tendency to melt down, and i'm assuming the 07 5.9's do too

Haven't heard about meltdowns on the 07s. Did a little more research and found that it might be pump timing issues but will in no way harm the truck, you will just have the anoying rattle.

I hope so.... mine does that too with the adrenaline up too high. It scares me so I leave it turned down a little

New injectors can sound crisp and quiet down in a few thousand miles. The ones on our CATs did just that.

ECM reflash could alter the timing map for sure a possibility.

Too much timing + load will melt down pistons on any diesel and not show high EGT either. The two are not related. (The rare few diesels with steel crown pistons will not melt) Ours are aluminum and will melt.

There are ways of measuring the timing to confirm what is actual. I do not believe there is any way to get the timing on the CRD out of time mechanically. The sensors and wheels cannot be indexed as far as I know. Any timing changes are all electronic.
