Time For A Rant

sorry at first but this is going to be pretty long...
ALLLright it all started when my truck started smoking pretty bad I thought it was an injector and so did the service guy at dealership turns out it wasn't and the exhaust valve seat dropped in cylinder #5 and wrecked it good. all under warranty I got a a rebore and sleeve new piston all new bearing a head and all new injectors which is all good $17860 damage all under warranty... ok here it comes the day that I get it ack i was driving down the road and heard a PING and then sounds like lots of air coming from turbo side of motor so i tighten everything and still the oise so my qualified diesel mechanic thought that some thing could of made it was threw the exhaust valve threw the turbo, so I pull off the turn down pipe and take a picture of the turo and yep chipped pieces. I take it back to dealership he says its an exhaust leak and I don't want to say anything cuz I likely made the leak when I put it ack together and if I tell them I took it apart they will then say that I wrecked it or something... and I'm takin a trip to BC in two weeks and I doubt that they can have a turbo here by then cuz its gunna take 5 days to get just the parts for the apparent exhaust leak... so I think I'm goin to a bigger dodge center and see what they see... i'll try to post a pic but it never works for me... SORRY FOR THE

Tank, taking it to another dealer isn't likely to speed up the parts. All the dealers are connected via computer so they can search all the dealers and determine if anyone close has the parts. If they had to wait 5 days for exhaust parts, I'd bet that they had to come out of the regional warehouse so you'll not likely see a gain there. They seem to be treating you better than normal, I'd stay right where I was at.

$17k in repairs? Why would they not put in a new engine at that point?

Taken it to dealer B after dealer A did a head job etc. is only asking for dealer B to tell that they don't wanna work on it and take it back to dealer A. Been there done that many times.
