Thinking of a trade need info and opinions
I may trade my 6 speed SRW for a auto dually. My truck now has 373 and the dually does also. My ?? is how will the auto hold up in pulling around 13000 a couple times a week? I have the bully dog in mine now set on performance. Will the auto handle the weight set on that setting?
I would suggest that if you get the auto, you should probably have some upgrades done to it. Particularly the Valve Body and Torque converter.
I don't think the trailer weight is a problem, but running that Bully Dog may be putting a little more hp to it than it can comfortably handle. My 2 cents.

I know on one of the perf parts mfg's web sites I saw that the clutch on the 6spd actually started slipping before the auto trans did. From that one would think the auto (in stock form) will hold more power than the 6spd.
I have the Banks Pwr PDA (I feel like an add for them lately but this is really cool) and it has as one of the 4 guage options (Trans SLP - Transmission slippage in %). IN lvl 6 or the speed loader setting when I shower down on it, when the torque converter is locked, it will read upwards to 30% - talk about heat and wear. The reading only registers when the TC is locked. They also have settings for TCC % ON. I wish I could be more difinative about what these readings actually are but if my trans is slipping that much under that load I'd imagine I'll be buying a trans very shortly. It has definately kept my foot out of it. Maybe the Banks guy that I've seen on here will chime in.
Either way it looks like they both will slip under load with a chip. If you're only towing 13k every now and then I'd go with the 3.73's (This was why I got 3.73's) so you get better fuel economy the majority of time you're driving. You'll suffer a little on the acceleration and hill climbing w/o 4.10's. I'd go with the auto and 3.73's, cater to the driving type you do the most. Stop & Go traffic with a 6spd blows...
Curiosity: Why are you considering a dually for only 13k lbs?
