Test drove an 03

I found a few problems with it...on the passenger side there is a very loud knock /tick, remniscent of a lifter problem on an older chev. The truck also threw a 2059 code. Any ideas?? Is this a keeper or a throw away? truck has 91k miles on it.
Thanks,
Ian

I wouldn't buy anything that already had problems unless it was very cheap....

I couldn't find 2059 either, but P2509 is:
ECM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittent

oh whoops 2509 was the one...i'm slightly cixelsid so theres a problem with the ecm/pcm, which may be the cause of the tick??? I think the injector problem sounds more likely. Maybe I can use this as ammo...is the injector problem going to make a rebuild necessary?

hey paul, you're checking an 03 out too?? you just got the 98! I need an upgrade for work, something a little more "professional" looking...plus my a$s gets cold in the winter, so heated leather seats are a necessary business expense

Yeah, and suprisingly the dealer is yanking my chain
I'm just not happy with the paint on this 98 and I'm having a real hard time spending 3k to make it look right and another 6k for a trans
9k and what a cirtain unnamed individual at PDR wants to pay for my truck would move me into a 03 QC so.... I just dont know what to do.
I guess it was a omen that the 03 puked out the CP3 pump on me on the test drive (Injection pump issues is why I got rid of the 98.5) I just dont know what the omen was saying
Oh yeah how you making out with that HRVP and the new LP?

it died on me three times in the last week, twice with a 3 mo old LP and brand new HRVP and carter aux. pump, and then once again today with a 3 day old LP
time to move into an 03 with less mileage. Plus I just got the subs wired up, which is frustrating (sounds great btw, thanks for the box, again!) cuz now I'll have to pull those suckers out again....ugh why is reliability so hard to come by these days?
