Taking the Plunge...Need Info ASAP

Howdy all!! I think I've finally decided to make the plunge into the dark side. Sitting outside my office right now is a brand new 2003 Dodge 3500 SB 2WD with a HO Cummins and 6 speed transmission. I really like the truck and I think I'm getting a decent deal on it and they're offering decent money for my Ford...but I have a few questions.

First of all...one of the big selling points for my wife is the increased fuel economy. With a 3.73 rear end and the above...running empty...what kind of city/highway mileage can I expect?

Second...is there anything about these trucks that I need to know before I sign on the dotted line this evening??

Thanks....

Hoss, there have been a slew of mileage threads on the 3rd gen trucks, but having said that, yours looks like it should get around 19 or 20 sincec it is 2wd. The only thing I have noticed that is possibly negative (very minor) with mine is that the lengthened Quad Cab with trailering package has the helper spring brackets in a position where 5th wheel hitch rails have to be mounted a few inches forward of the axle, making it a very close fit hooking up to a 5er with the tailgate down. Other than that I absolutely love this new truck. Enjoy! Welcome to the light side of the force! ;D

Well I'm figuring your tan will get better since you will be outa the F*rd and can take the bag off yer head when u get in it...
I went from a '98 F*rd to this truck. Pros and cons to both, but I like this powerplant much better. Go for it.....
