tail pipe question..

refresh my memory..on an 05, from the front going towards the back of the truck exhaust..is there a cat then a muffler? if not what is the first? thanks in advance

Yes. Cat up front and then further back is the muffler.

mine "cat" is all rotted out,

i want to replace it, but if i ran a straight pipe instead for a day or so..(off road use only)untill i get the new one would it throw any codes etc?
