Exclamation Is this the beginning of bad injector (video)

Is this the beginning of a bad injector?

Link to video -> http://road15.com/files/04 rough idle.MOV

Truck is on computer induced high-idle (1k rpm); it was started after a week long cold soak (5 - 30 degrees F), it was not driven for a week prior to this start.

I'm hoping someone can say they've had this specific issue and tell me wether or not they found a bad injector later.

Doubt it. There are a lot of people that have had this happen, including myself. Here's a link to another guy with a video on CF, his truck does the same thing. I would think there would be smoke along with it if it was something to worry about.

i think its fine, you said it was cold, and on high idle. you should hear mine when its really cold, it goes into high idle, then the temp starts to lower, as in engine temp, and it goes into a real lumpy idle, like a 2 stroke, some call it the 3 cyl idle, its sounds cool. you have no smoke, and it sounds normal to me.

Mine has done that since its first year it left Mexico to roll in the cold. Starts after a few minutes on the fast idle. Truckbouy2 says its, "Dodge Normal"

Sounds like a few other trucks have the computer induced high-idle "lope" like my video.

My truck has never done this before; then I remembered,... the truck was flashed by the dealer in summer time (consequently my cruise enabled high-idle mode was disabled...grrrr!). Additionally it has not been cold since the re-flash, thus no opportunity to compare high-idle mode pre-and-post flash until now.

And on this note everything "sounds" normal with other posts I've read; however, ....

The other issue is, one week earlier after a cold soak, it started, smoked black, and sounded like a 2nd gen truck (sharp and noisy like an old school diesel) for a few minutes, then it went away and back to normal. It was like the pilot injection event was missing and the injector was only firing once instead of the normal 3 times/power stroke.

Any advice experience with the above described issue?

Sounds normal to me. Mine will do the same thing today. I usually bump the high idle up to 1200.
