synthetic or regular oil ? how to tell ?

synthetic or regular oil ? how to tell ?
I just purchased an used 03 with 90,000 miles on it. I would like to change all the fluids and start fresh as I like to keep record of maint. How can I tell if the engine oil is regular oil or synthetic ?

If you mean whats in it now or was used in the past.No clue.Don't know if even a oil analysis would tell you.Just use a 15w40 syn or dino oil that meets the specs of your choice.
