Model: 2500 4x4
Mileage: 25,800
Gearing: 373
Item Towed: mostly Uhaul and 18' flatbed's loaded with about 2000-3000 lbs.
Problems: None
Mods: None to trany or Engine
Other: Only thing I can think of and agree with some of the other posts is that it
has a funny shift from time to time but that's if I accelarate quickly and let off
quickly. That's about it other than that it's been great so far. Can't wait to see
what it's like at 100K miles

Mods: hi-flow air filter...edge ez coming soon!
Other: it has hunted for gears a couple times while driving in heavy stop and go city traffic unloaded. '00, '02, & '03 GM 4L60E and 4L80E, however, were much worse in that area, but are otherwise good transmissions for their application. I'm not concerned about my 48RE...
The 1500 Hemi's get the 45rfe; not sure about the 2500 Hemi's (47RE?). If there are problems with the Hemi/45rfe 1/2 ton application, then that transmission is probably not stong enough for the Hemi's tq output. The 45rfe works great for the 4.7 v-8. Dodge has had some issues over estimating the abilities of their auto transmissions...

Problems:slipping, on overdrive once
Mods:stock
Other:the TQ of the tranny doesnt lock the cluches when i am not in overdrive, i took it to the dealer twice and they said nothing was wrong, its in right now getting looked at for the TSB, and they had to replace the cooler.
