Exclamation Suddenly having to WAIT for AMPS/voltage in order to start

Yes, I know, FNG, but I am stumped. 2006 5.9L - (1.)-Started with click & no turnover. // Jumped by a BIG rig and started. // (2.)- Installed 2 new batteries (ouch) // Waited for heater grid to go out & click & no turnover. // Waited & watched the voltage gauge rise to over 12 & she cranked. (odd) // Now, in order to start, whether grid light or no grid light > I must wait for the voltage/amps to build then crank. // What has happened? In the WAITNG for amps/voltage to build...turn key....light out (if app.)....wait.....wait....wait....key > start. // Did I buy weak batteries? Any and all advice appreciated. Mike.
