2007 megacab with 130,000 miles had a very small slip at takeoff 2-3 times a few months ago. Had the transmission serviced and didn't think much about it until now. Now the truck drives fine once you are going but if you come to a complete stop it takes 4 seconds for the transmission to engage. I can feel a small bump when I stop as the transmission disengages and need to wait until I can go. The time the transmission is useless is exactly the same 4 seconds every time. After the pause I can take off as fast as I want and all the gears seem to shift at the correct time. This happen to anybody else?

 

Check fluid level.

Do you have to apply throttle to get it to engage into gear or just let off the brake? Sounds like it could be a pressure control issue, have you hooked a scanner up to check for codes?
