Steering memory not returning to center
I have a 2006 3500 Mega 4x4 S6spd RW conversion that has developed the tendency while turning to want to continue in that direction and not return to center. It has 325/65-18 Nitto Dune Grapplers & 114k miles. It had a leveling kit which I just replaced with a Rough Country 5" drop bracket kit with front springs, pitman arm, shocks & dual frt stab. Frt arm adj were marked prior to install and everything is tight with no movement. Drove perfect just like before lift installed. A few days later installed the dual steer stab. Still drove fine. Then in a day or so developed the not straighten out problem. Checked all bolts, brackets etc. and all tight, no movement. Disconnected frt stabs prob still exists. Checked power steering fluid. Fluid was dirty looking, and when flashlight shone in top of reservoir looked like metallic. Did complete flush and replaced with syn ATF-4. Problem still exists? All front end components are OK. Help...what is my next step? Power steering pump assy? Please advise.
Just went through this.

Never thought that it was what it was, until I took the front shafts out of the axle.
Couldn't believe that this cause it.... but it did.

Thanks for the link. Read through it all and I guess that could be the culprit. The only thing is my truck does it all the time both left and right. Got a busy week at work ahead of me so will see when I can tackle it again. Thanks again.
