speedo recal????

I know, I know, everyone says it cant be one on the 06-07 models. But I am curious as to what Mother Dodge did for all those trucks that were sold already lifted with larger than factory tires from the dealerships?

Has anyone bought the dealer installed lift/tire groups? Are your speedos off?

Yeah... I want to know too... my buddy has an 07.5 with a 6" and some 37's, and the dealer told him that the speedo was good, and it ain't. It's like 15 MPH off at 70mph...

the scanners only give a few options for tire size on the 06 and newer trucks

You cant manually enter the revolutions per mile for your tire? Many dealers don't know how to do it. Even on my 04 I had to tell the "tech" it could be done.

again, I am aware that the supposed largest tire from stock on 06 and up is the power wagon tire of 285. But I am still really curious what dealers are telling customers when they buy the prelifted rigs.

Speedo recall? I thought this was going to accompany a picture of a fat guy in a too-tight speedo. ??

I was told this to for my truck and 285 is the biggest preset size listed in the menu. But if you looked there were other options and you could manually enter the revolutions per mile for the tire not pick preset sizes the dealer and tech were unaware of this option on my truck.

The revs per mile only go up to the 05 trucks, I think. After 06, you can't use that option.

This was just one more reason to buy the SMARTY JR. I didn't need much of an excuse but it helped. My Speedo can now be changed to any number I want so I can dial it to be just right. . . . .
