Talking about idiot salespeople, the dealer I bought my truck from, the salesman, knew NOTHING about diesels. Thought my Dodge had a 7.3 Powerstroke motor in it . I asked him what he thought the Cummins badges on the front fenders meant, and he thought they came from a big rig, because he thought Cummins were put into big rigs and RV's only!!!!!!!

On a side note, New or used, it really does not matter too much. I have owned them both, and regardless of the mileage when you pick it up (3, 4 miles whatever) it could always be a Friday truck or whatever, in other words, a lemon from the word go. It is all a crap shoot. I know you run more risk on a used truck, but you can tell when a truck has been taken care of or neglected (for the most part) Either way, we are ALL at the hands of the mercy of mechanical failure

yes i handle all the PDI's that come throgh the dealer that i work at and the guy who does the trucks is pretty rough on them. lucky for the diesel buyers that i have one guy who only does diesels, he is pretty nice to them.
