Question Smoking again, this time black

Well a few months ago I had a lot of white smoke from leaky injectors, I finally got them replaced yesterday. The dealership replaced 3 and did the fuel system cleaning along with the front pinion seal. On the way home from the dealer I noticed a lot of black smoke this time, taking off from a stop light normaly I leave everybody in a haze, and when I mash the go pedal it will smoke almost as much as the Pup on extreme. Called the diesel tech there this morning and ask him about it and he said it was normal to see some smoke since I have no muffler or cat (never came with a cat). He also said the bad injectors we only operating at 60 some percent. Now the lowest injector is at 95 percent and he said it is fueling like it should and thats why I get the smoke. And this is on a stock truck with airflow mods, ECM was returned back to stock.

So what do you guru's on here think, is this accurate? Will I have to run twins to clear up the smoke on a stock truck?

And lastly the EGT's are about the same as they were before for normal driving, never hit any hills...

It never smoked without the pup before the new injectors. It has a freshly cleaned AFE PG7 with torque tube and 4" straight pipe. Boost reads the same as before as well.

Electronically speaking, something is not right. Some sensor not connected or failed. Any codes? Any tic/knoc? May need a shot of cleaner?

Everything seems to be connected, no codes, no weird noises. It actually runs quieter and smoother than before.

I dont have the 555, but on my 600 i can blow smoke like no other as well. One thing I noticed though is if im going through town and take off from light A, go a block or 2 and take off from b it wont smoke, or if does very little, and by 3rd no smoke at all. If i drive for a few miles then i can get a small puff, hardly noticable. never had any of that before the mileage reflash. I also have no "problems" and decent mileage at 18 mpg

The truck is running awesome, mpg's is up, quieter, more power, but just tons of smoke. I am taking it back to the dealer tomorrow to have them throw the DRB on it and check the sensors, and also replace the front pinion seal they forgot to replace last time it was in.

So hopefully I will know tomorrow and will let you guys and gals know how it goes...

It turned out to be the MAP sensor like I thought, it was making the truck think I was below sea level and fueling accordingly. But wouldn't you know it, it's a STAR controled part and won't have it till Monday . Hopefully it shows up early Monday because I am supposed to head to Texas in the morning...

You could have got away with smoking the tail-gators for a while.

Well the MAP sensor got replaced and she still smokes like a freight train. The tech thought the the ECM might have to get used to the new MAP sensor and recalibrate itself. But it's been close to 2k miles later and it hasn't cleared up any. He said to bring it back in when I get back and he would spend a day on the phone with STAR and go through it...

We'll see what happens...

If that tech think that the ECM need time to adjust for the new intake manifold press. sensor to calibrate. he need to go back to class again, I would take it somewhere else and have it diagnose.
