Smoke at start up
I know I'm spoiled. But I almost never park my 05 outside. And last night was one of the times I had too,and when I started it up after sitting for about 18hrs.it smoked for about 30 secs, ran a little rough, than cleared up.It was about 28 degrees out.Normally I would not be concerned, however if this is somthing I should have looked at let me know.25000 miles on the truck. All maintance is up to snuff. Not plugged in.(no need)

While this is my first winter with CTD in Colorado. . .I always park outside and I never get any smoke. . . . . coldest morning so far this season down to maybe 5 deg or so. This weekend will be a good test the high for the next few days should be single digits.

So did you wait for the heater to cycle before you started it? The only time mine will do so is If I don't wait for the grid heaters, then mine will put out a small amount of white smoke and run ruff for a minute at start up on a cold day.
