slow takeoff
slow takeoff
My truck has been slow on the takeoff lately after backing out of my driveway, it kind of has that feeling like when the tires are spinning on a wet road and you are not going anywhere. I never noticed this until I put the bddl on my truck. I read somewhere that the 2nd gen's did this from the fluid draining out of the TC??? Could this be my problem or could it be that I did not have the tsb's done. By the way I have a 48RE and a HO.
blakedill,
if you post this in the 'Performance and Accessories 3rd gen' forum then you may get a response since it involves the bddl - I dont really know about your problem since I have never used the bddl and I have a manual transmissionn but, plenty of people over there have used the bddl
good luck

are you leaving in the mornings RIGHT when you start the truck? like fire then put it in gear? i notice that if i wait about 30 seconds to leave then the turbo can get some fluids or whatever it needs. I think your problem is that your turbocharger isnt spooling up until it gets fluids or whatever. Thats just what ive experienced. i always wait 30 secs to a min to leave anywhere
no, it does it midday after the truck has been running. it did it today after i left sams. Also now I have noticed that it shifts in and out of 1 and 2 and that is consistent but slipping on the takeoff isn't consist. I have uninstalled the programmer and it still does it stock but not as bad. Definitely not the turbo problem with the bddl it made it pick up real quick.
