I have a 04 2500 quad cab short bed I want to make it a dually and put a 6 speed standard transmission in it. What will I need to make it a dually other then the dually spacer for the front, 06-up mega cab dually fenders, and longer studs for the rear-end?? Will my stock wiring harness be ok if I put a 6-speed transmission in my truck??

 

I have a 06 mega cab dually i would like to turn into a single on the back. I have an inferno red truck the bed is in out standing condition and can post pictures. lmk if i can help

 

I have a buddy who just did the same. He bought a kit and then supplied the 235 tires. Cost him about $2500.00 Looks factory. He still needs to paint the fenders. Don't know about the tranny.

 

Buy a different truck IMO

 

The tranny switch will be complicated. Don't know if it's worth it. Seems you may be able to find a dually with six speed pretty cheap these days. I saw another string about a tranny swap a few weeks ago, and all the changes that were necessary was a little mind boggling. Do a search and you'll find the string.
