Question silencer ring out - snap ring in . . .

I had no problems taking the silencer ring out of my old 04.5. My new 07, was a different story!!! I tried when I did my intake and torque tube a week or so ago and no luck! So I dug into it again, this time around I put a nice little bend in the edge of the ring itself. I figured since it was already bent and I couldn't leave it that way I grabbed the pliers and a lite tug later it popped right out! So now I have a snap ring in place with no silencer ring!

Does anyone see a problem with this? I have put around 60 miles on it with no issues but it still kinda worries me???

I would think that the snap ring has enough pressure that it will not flop around in there. But with the silencer out of the way, you should be able to grab it with a set of vice grips and yank it out.

I grabed my silencer ring with a pair of pliers then pulled it out with the snapring in place then pulled the snap ring it probably wont hurt anything but it would worry me to still have it in there
