Well, it's definately louder than stock. When I first got this truck, I really had to concentrate to hear the turbo whistle. Not it's quite clear. As a matter of fact, it gave me a bit of a headache. Not sure If it will stay out or if I'll put it back in. I'll give it a couple days to decide.

I put mine back in the day after I took it out. Just too annoying. A lot of people seem to like ti though.

My wife can't hear it at all even with the intake tube and the silencer done.

I think she'll hear the new exhaust though

Well, mine didn't stay out for even a day...had to put it back in. Couldn't stand to think of dealing with that whistle every time I drive it.

Now, I am anxious to make the exhaust a bit more aggressive, but that will have to wait for a while.

I did remove the cross baffle in the tube that leads into the turbo. That provided a pleasing whistle. THat cross piece is **** big. Takes up approx 25% of the tubes volume. It is supposed to straighten the air as it enters the turbo. Perhaps.

I put mine back in as quick as it came out. Didn't make that much of a difference in whistle. But it seemed to effect power! it came on different...not as smooth. It also seemed to lack top end.

I think this ring is has a greater purpose then people think. You guys do what you want....and best of luck. I'm keeping mine in!

Took mine out and gutted the OEM intake. WOW! What a difference. There's nothing like the sound of a turbine! It definately turns heads when you wind it up. Add a straight pipe to the set up and look out. I have never had a problem with the turbo wine. It sounds just as sweet as birdies

if you are going to remove your baffles dont gut them out just take them out and put them in storage. Now you will need to get 2 4"PVC couplers and a piece of 4" PVC pipe. Glue the two couplers to the pipe, I painted mine and reinstall the PVC section back into the system.
