Pull the intake tube off and you will see the silencer ring inside the turbo. Take a small flat head screwdriver and carefully pry out the retaining ring. The silencer ring will fall out into your hands.

Clickly for Intake MOD!!!

Any damage done to turbo/motor by doing the ring removal? Any gains besides the sound?

Buff, I dont think this will void warrenty because there is no reason that a tech should need to take your intake tube off. Keep the ring and reinstall it when you take it in, if you really want to be sure. Get an afe stage 2 intake, that will allow full air flow and sound from the turbo, trust me it sounds and looks sick when you pop the hood and see that HUGE filter element. There are white internal air baffels that direct the air to the turbo, remove those if you want to keep the stock air box, and that will give you more sound. Hope this helps
