Sick of all the problems!!!!!
Sick of all the problems!!!!!
Driving my truck today and the check guages light comes on. Edit!! the voltmeter is only showing 10-11 volts vs normal 14. So i smell something a little hot and I am almost home. So I get out raise the hood and the right battery positive lead cable is melted and just hanging there!! So I am making dodge tow it tonight!
I still have the "tick" that no one else can hear along with the bad intake sensor that I have been waiting on for a month!
My heater has quit working. I cant get it to switch positions and the fan sounds like a huey helicopter that shakes the whole truck.
Window seal on Left rear door is coming out!
Still has intermittent miss after all the reflashes!
I loved my 97 12v and wish I had kept it.
Cant find a lemon law atty anywhere.
I guess I will trade the Edit when they fix it this time. Sick of this. I hate dodge and its dealers!!!!
REally disheartening. but this is my daily driver and I cant afford to be in the shop all the freaking time

boy really sorry to hear you are having ALL of the problems with 1 truck. some have 1 issue, some have minor one, you seem to get all of the bad luck. hopefully you arent backwards in that truck if you intend to dump it.
i guess i dont have enough info to make a good decision. has it been at the dealer alot? are all of these problems new, did the happen all at once. Has this happen over a period of 100k miles? are they giving you the runaround? i am not in your shoes. sorry bud.
if this has been driving you crazy, this is your moneymaking truck, and they are jerking you around. dump it on them. just post to other members what the truck is so some other poor soul doesnt take the hit with getting that one.

Been there before, my friend. My only advice is to sue and then decide if the truck is worth keeping.

I know how you feel, mine seems to one dumb thing after another on my 05
!! And the dodge dealerships don't make it any better. Mine's giving me crap now about having the BullyDog OUTLOOK Monitor. It's on there just to keep an eye on things!!, i told them!!
You know, My dad has a 06 D-Max, and love's it!! The dealer for him said they don't care what he has on it, if the miles show they can, the warrenty it for anything!! I hate to say it, but i've been thinking of going to the "dark side". Might have to go look at the new D-max's!!-Chris

Sounds like you and me have had the same problems. My heater vents broke and sounded like a huey, they had to replace the parts for the unit under the dash. My back window leaked water and stained my seats, whole back window was replaced. At 3,000 miles my tranny went out and what does Dodge do, that's right they rebuild it, instead of a new one. My output bearing on my transfer case went bad and had to be replaced, along with my parking paw and shift lever cable cause it got hung up in reverse. I lost count of how many times my check engine light has come on. If my problems keep happening the truck is gone. I, to had 2 lemon law attorney's and they couldn't do anything for me, because they say it has to be 3 times for the same exact thing. DC told me that "Oh Well, you have to deal with it." Sorriest customer service, I've had to deal with. You know whats funny? I was talking to a guy who had a duramax. He said this is my second one in 6 months and that his first one he had a problem with the engine. So what does chevy do for him gets him in another truck, not a rebuilt motor. I bought an 06 Rebuilt truck that is not even a year old and only 16000 miles on it, thanks DC!!!
I have had a host of problems with mine as well, none major but here we go: 1. it only starts about half of the time hot or cold (have had it reflashed twice and no help) 2. squeeky clutch at 15k took 3 trips to dealership to convince them it was squeeking, finally replaced master cylinder, fixed 3. passenger side sunvisor falls off in wifes lap at 15k, two trips to dealer to get fixed 4. now sometimes when i hit the left blinker the right one comes on to (some sort of short in steering column?) 5. driver side door sounds like it is gonna fall off everytime you hit a bump & has countless dash rattles, had it in 3 times complaining about it nothing done (this truck is babied) 6. had truck in for oil leak, fixed, the list seems to continue to grow. Keep thinking it may end soon and get a decent truck out of the deal, wishful thinkng anyhow.
Hey Guys,
Sorry to hear about all of your bad luck, but thats what the warranty is for! Every new truck has some issues (hopefully not as many as you guys) but what is going on with your dealers????? If your dealers are not taking care of you, then there are some very simple solutions.....
First...bypass the service writer, and go straight to the service manager ONCE! If this does not get results then straight into the owners office, and if hes not there, get his address and go visit him at home. The dealership wont give you his home address, but his name is always in the showroom as the dealer principal...look up 411 and knock on his door and explain the issues. If for some reason this does not work call DC corporate as there is a very powerful dipute resolution group to rectify these types of issues. All else fails, stop your payments, and tell them your truck is broke, and you cannot make a living or a payment without it. Someone will start listening.
But most of all, take charge...you are all driving brand new expensive trucks, and crying like little girls here (this is where we all laugh-not trying to insult you guys). If you are waiting on parts for weeks....make them take it off a truck in the lot, I have demanded this, and they will do it. Remember this is a business, and you guys are the customers...be business like but dont take no for an answer...you dont have to. Stand up for your rights as a valuable customer, and you will demand the respect that you deserve. They may not act like it, but no dealer wants to lose a customer due to his service department.
Good luck guys, and dont get discouraged! They will eventually get it right!

Bottom line, I think Dodge is getting to the same point Ferd and Cheby got to. You know, "we are so big and bad **** that we dont have to care". Why, "Cause we are big and in demand". Not only tht, but where were yall's trucks manufactured, mexico, canada? It migght be DC making bad calls.
Not all are bad. You guys just seem to be unlucky. I had the dealer check my truck before I bought it. Thye printed out all warranty work done to it. NOthing only at dealer once for an oil change and recalls. I bought it at 50k
Just dont buy being unlucky! My $40000 is just as valuable to me as the guy that gets great service from his truck. I should have bought a used truck with 150k miles on it. Same quality service as this new truck. why do you buy a new truck? For dependable trouble free service! All I have gotten are excuses from 3 dealers who either dont care about my problems or are incompetent to fix them. I know when I am being shot a line of Edit where as most yuppies dont today. They believe anything the dealer tells them because they are the experts! Bull crap! Also, whoever said they will take parts off a new truck is living in a dream world! Never happen cause once they sell you a truck they couldnt care less about your satisfaction. There should be a class action lawsuit against DC for all this crap. There are enough complaints on here to do that!
