Shreded wiring harness, need help!

Truck is a 05 3500 600 HO 6 spd.

I know I hit something a while back because my radiator is dented at the bottom. Today I noticed that my connection for my block heater was hanging down. The end that screws into the element on the block. So I went looking at things only to find that my fan had a busted blade. Also there was a wiring connection running through a metal conduit/bracket that is cut off and pointing up between the fan and engine.

I need to know what this connection is for. I can't find the other end. Everything works fine, as I think it happened some time ago.

Here is the connection below the power steering pump. Grey connector.

Here is the end of it. not sure which direction it is supposed to run.

I would be ever grateful if someone filled me in on what that connection and wiring is for. I'm sure it needs to be fixed what ever it is.

Thanks Guys!

My guess it's the wiring harness going to the fan clutch.

Yeah it finally registered with me what it was to.

Seeing as I also have a busted blade from what ever I hit. I'm just going to install an entire fan assembly.

First time I'm hearing this one... Do we have an issue with blades breaking off the fan assembly?

Here is the rest of my carnage. What ever I hit left a nasty dent in the lower radiator.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Check your insurance co. for assistance. They might buy into it for hitting road debris. You must get fan replaced as a assembly. The imblance will tear the clutch drive out and sometimes eat radiators.

Not the blade breaking off, but the wires getting caught in the blades.

Seems the wires getting caught up is certainly a common problem.

I'm going to order a clutch/fan assembly tomorrow. I'm still boggled how my heater wire got unscrewed and crushed.

I did two trips to Syracuse and back this winter in some bad snow. I probably took on some ice at some point. The price I pay I guess.

I missed the heater wire...( Block heater? )IIRC, the fan blade is separate from the fan clutch. Pricey too! Check ebay for the blade assy. The clutch , I wouldn't take any chances on. Go new!

I am dealing with the same issue. Fan clutch wires got caught in the fan. I am now in the process of removing, solder/splicing wires, and devising a suport to attach the wires to so it does not happen again.

Are there any good post to help me out? I have done searches, but have not found a good one yet.
