Should have checked the turbo
Well, dropped a valve in #5 a few months back. Got engine back together last month. Put together with QSB 480 pistons, BMS 50hp tips ton fairly new injectors, Hamilton 178 cam, and a few other things. Nothing major powerwise, just put together for dependability.
It ran good, but never had the power I thought it should. Never did hear turbo whine, and got to hearing a noise occasionally from the turbo, so I ordered a new cartridge. Finally got around to changing it today and this is what I found.
Just made a quick run up the road, but I now have good power, and can hear the turbo whine. Guess I know where the rest of the valve went!
