Setting tire height with scan tool?

Does anybody know if the Snap On Modis will allow me to set the tire height on my 06' 2500? I know I can with the StarScan but we are no longer a Chrysler dealership, but I have access to a Modis. I also have access to a new Genisis but am unsure of being able to use it either. If you can use one or both of these, what do you go under to reset it. Thanks

I am not 100% sure but I am pretty sure the only way is with a starscan or a performance programmer.

Not sure about your 06 but I changed my 05 with a Snap On scan tool, before I bought my Smarty. You have to go into the ABS menu, then go to revs per mile and enter the number of revs per mile according to your tire size.

Took the truck to the dealer today and they said the largest they could program the tire to was 285/75/16 and could not enter the revs per mile like you could with the DRBIII. Anybody know if this is true or not? I couldn't go back and look at it and they still charged for what they did.

When I bought my truck it had 295/70/17s. I took it back to the dealer and had them change it. I went armed w/ the rev's per mile though. You can get that info off of the tire manufacturer's web site.

this is true...the most the new trucks can go is 285's with starscan...other wise you have to correct it with a Smarty.
last I heard you can not do it on a 06 even with the revs per mile figure...
do a search and you will see that nobody with a 06 truck can go above 285's with a starscan.

unless something has changed lately you cant go more then 285's on the new trucks...hopefully your dealer did not just tell you they did it.
you would be the one and only guy I have heard that was able to go more then 285's on a 06 with a starscan tool.

maybe because they are 70's not 75' they are a little shorter and thus fall into the range they can adjust for. I can definately tell they did it. I clocked before and after against my wifes car.
