Lately when the jake is on there is a loud screeching sound. It has gotten worse and the brake seems to be less effective. Any ideas?

you have an exhaust leak flip the brake on and pop the hood . it could ba as simple as a loose clamp

 

The exhaust manifold was shrunk lengthwise and sheared off the bolts on the first (front) port. Big leak causing the noise. Dodge refused to fix due to my Quadzilla Commander. They wanted $1400 to fix. I got the genuine Cummins parts from Geno's Garage. Total for all gaskets and new studs was $300. Also got really good advice from Scott there. Both broken bolts were easily removed due to small stub sticking out. All in all not too bad. I made my own extenders to support the heat shield and all is now good!!

I would call Chrysler customer service and make a complaint that you were denied warranty over a set of gauges and see what comes of it. If you never had any chip or tuner on the truck, they should reimburse you for the parts....
